HP Envy 4500 Printer

HP ENVY 4500 PRINTER SETTINGS:

  • Remove the tapes on your HP Envy 4500 printer after taking it from the packaged cardboard box.
  • Take the printer manual which comes with your HP printer and read the instructions carefully.

  • After setting up your printer, install the latest HP printer driver using the driver installation CD that comes bundled with your HP Envy 4500 printer.

Connect a New Printer

  1. Open the printer software on your computer by following the method given below.  
    • Windows 8 or 10: Right-click on the empty area of the screen on your desktop. Select All Apps, and then choose the icon with the name of your printer.
    • Windows 7: Click on the Start button on your desktop, select All Programs, choose HP and then click on HP Envy 4500 series.
  2. After clicking All Programs, go to Printer Setup & Software on your computer.
  3. Select the option Connect a new printer.
  4. Follow the instructions provided by the software and complete the setup.

Change Network Settings

  1. Go to Setting option present in the Wireless Menu on your Printer’s display. Go to the Advanced Settings.
  2. On the Advanced Settings option, choose any item that you want to change.
  3. On-screen instructions to complete and apply the changes.

 

HP ENVY 4500 MAC SETUP

Load Paper:

  1. Open the paper tray on your HP 4500 printer.
  2. Release the paper-width guides from its place.
  3. Load the paper in the paper tray.
  4. Load the paper properly by pushing it into the printer until it stops.
  5. Place the paper-width guides firmly to fix the paper onto its place

Print from Software (Mac OS)

  • Go to any file and then click on the Print button.
  • After the above step, select your HP Envy printer from the list of printers available.
  • Select the Properties or Options button to open the Properties dialog box.
  • Select the appropriate options.
    • For OS X v10.6: Click the blue triangle present next to the Printer selection option to access the print options.
    • For OS X Lion and Mountain Lion: Click Show Details to access the print options.
  • From the Print options menu, choose the page orientation, size and scaling percentage etc.
  • After making necessary changes, click Print.

HP ENVY 4500 INSTRUCTIONS – EPRINT

EPRINT FROM ANYWHERE :

HP ePrint is a free application present in most of the HP wireless printers with which you can print documents in emails sent to the device.

For using the HP ePrint on your printer, you must have an active wireless internet connection. HP ePrint doesn’t work via USB connection.

Before using the HP ePrint, ensure the following:

Your HP Envy 4500 printer is connected to an active wireless network.
Enable Web Services on your printer.

TO PRINT USING HP EPRINT :
  1. Enable Web Services
    • Go to the printer control panel and then press the ePrintbutton.
    • Tap on Accept the Terms of Use,
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to enable Web Services.
    • After the above steps, the Web Service Summary is displayed. Click Print info to get the print out of the information page.
  2. Open your email application from your Smartphone or computer.
  3. Go to compose option to create a new email.
  4. With the email, attach the document or photo that you want to print and enter your HP printer’s email address in the “To” line.
  5. Click or touch the Send button to send the email.
TO TURN OFF EPRINT :
  1. Go to the printer’s control panel and press the ePrint button.
  2. Select Web Services Settings menu.
  3. Select ePrint from the menu, and then choose OFF

HP ENVY 4500 INSTRUCTIONS – SCAN

SCAN FROM THE PRINTER’S CONTROL PANEL :
  1. Place the document on to the scanner glass that you want to scan and close the scanner lid.
  2. If you want to scan to a computer then, connect the printer and the computer via a wireless network or USB cable.
  3. After the above process, start the scan from the printer’s display.
  • Go to Scan option on your printer’s display by using the arrow buttons.
  • Choose the scan to Computer.
  • Then, tap on Settings to change scan type or resolution and then choose Scan.
SCAN FROM YOUR COMPUTER :
  1. Open the printer software on your computer by following the method given below.
    • Windows 8 or 10: Right-click on the empty area of the screen on your desktop. Select All Apps, and then choose the icon with the name of your printer.
    • Windows 7: Click on the Start button on your desktop, select All Programs, choose HP and then click on HP Envy 4500 series.
  2. Open the HP printer software on your desktop and then click on the Print & Scan. Select Scan a Document or Photo from the options available.
  3. After that, choose the type of scan from the shortcut menu and then tap on Scan.
  4. After that, if you want to scan another document then, select Saveor else choose Done.
  5. The scan will be saved on your computer which can be accessed via the windows explorer i.e. from the computer icon.
